This game was amazing! my son and i really enjoyed it. My 7 year old loves horror games, and we try and pick a random horror game off of here every evening, and this one really kept us occupied. I hope to see more games from this developer!!! :) :)
This is the most scared ive felt playing a horror game maybe ever, something so eerie about the environment and the hallways towards the end being dead silent while the command prompt shows whats being spawned in. i would usually record horror games but for some reason i just decided to play this for no reason and i think that made it scarier, my heart was beating man good job
I consider myself an hardcore horror fan, I seldom get scared or feel uneasy, but this, this has so many adult swim/Alan Resnick vibes, is haunting, perfectly executed. A job well done! A proper horror, finally!
First time buying a house and I chose this one! Love the beautiful designing, the walls are immaculate and a lot of spacing! Can't wait to grow up in this house with a wife and kids, I'm sure they'll love it!
really great horror experience although i do have some criticism. I think showing It so clearly was a bad idea. Making it barely visible by hiding it in the shadow would've made it creepier imo. Having the game cut to the next section once It moved its head a little bit would've been great instead of having to see it move weirdly for so long.
How long is the Master Bedroom Corridor section, just after scanning the upstairs rooms? I've been walking in circles for a while now
Edit: I looked up a video, and basically I just had to turn back. I'm including this because other people might slip up here and look for the comments as I have, so hopefully this helps
That was deeply unpleasant and really good. God, for each scare I was expecting I was turning my laptop screen away from me and turning down the sound. It definitely took me away from my "this is just a game in a computer screen" and I had to say to myself in my head "It's just a game" for the animal fear that this game started in my brain.
Absolutely brilliant scene setting: the limited "house survey" arrow keys are so realistic that the rest of the game felt horribly plausible. I love the touches of the placeholder names.
I was expecting jumpscares so I am very happy to say that there aren't any that are very startling or unexpected, and it really is atmospheric horror all the way down. Somehow, this game makes you feel like you are the one who has to expose yourself to the horror, by clicking on the objects or entering a room or rounding the wrong corner. My favorite moments are

the one where the scan has failed and you have to open the doors again and look through them, and the timer of which I was certain had a jumpscare at the end of it and was terrified every second.
The end and the meat theming wasn't too bad, in my opinion it reduced the horror to see it go from a horrible semi-realistic house to a fully fantastical ground beef people and meat dimension, of which my heart is grateful for.
The limited controls are part of the game experience, it wouldn't be as scary if the player had that much freedom and some of the scares wouldn't work.
I've been playing 3d shooter games on the pc for many years Like since 1997 I have game Ideas and would never put that limited type of control in ya I know it takes a bit to get use to
but I think are limiting what folks would be able to work with by having it the way it is now
I remember in Duke Nukem 3d there was the option in the game to give the player the choice to chose which way they wanted to have the controls
so my thought to you is put that in your program and let the player chose which one they want to use
I don't know if you know this, but this isn't a shooter. It's a horror game, and a lack of control adds to that horror. It's why in the original FNAF you could only look at the camera and close doors, a lack of control makes the player feel powerless, which makes the horror aspect more intense
I get this is a month later, but you were so close to the end. It sucks the dev didn't ever respond, but basically you just had to turn around and walk the other way for a moment
2. the tutorial only takes a minute (15 seconds if you're skipping through it) and it doesn't just explain the controls, that's one page, it explains the concept of the game
3.you might've not played the whole game but it turns into first person walking after the creepy stuff begins
Honestly, I thought this was like an actual "Open House" simulator that you find on websites showcasing apartments/houses. I did a double-take when I looked at the screenshots and saw the floor with blood, glad I did and played the game. It was pretty entertaining, at first everything seems normal but some clues here and there made the game look "off" like it was hiding something. Overall I would highly recommend others to play the game!
Absolutely loved this game! It was a really interesting setup and the scares followed through, even one at the very end (watch the credits!) that honestly made me paranoid.
Holy hell, this game is terrifying in the best way possible, and I hate horror games. I chose to redownload this game because it is imo a masterpiece. Good job!
dude seriously? i know it’s a game, you don’t need to be in character or whatnot. stop. you’re on itch.io. you’re not fooling anyone. does it have jumpscares, or are you just going to be annoying about this?
You think you're joking, but this is harmful and unhelpful. If someone is asking a genuine question about content warnings, don't lie and potentially put someone in an unsafe situation. It's a jerk move. This is too common in the horror genre, and it's inaccessible and frankly just mean to do this.
What a brilliantly unique game! I really enjoyed it, a nice change from the usual format of horror game. Well done :) Check out my video and subscribe if you enjoy.

This is the house of the videogame "House Party"!!!
First time buying a house and I chose this one! Love the beautiful designing, the walls are immaculate and a lot of spacing! Can't wait to grow up in this house with a wife and kids, I'm sure they'll love it!
Didn't think it was this easy to buy a house!

All in all a really good game

Your games never cease to impress me! The atmosphere of this game made me so uncomfortable, I loved it!
for movement change to keyboard and mouse controls to move and look around
it's too limited for moving
if I had to play a 3d shooter game like this I would stop playing it
the closest examples are WolfInstine 3d a very old dos game
The limited controls are part of the game experience, it wouldn't be as scary if the player had that much freedom and some of the scares wouldn't work.

Agree
Okay, the low key sounds in the end game music, well done.
Hey bro, how can I change my name from the Offer!
The person in the closet upstairs was absolutely startling!
sure ill buy the House!
the scan master bedroom area is too long of a walk i have been on that for 30 minutes already.
Yeah i am not continuing this game.
I get this is a month later, but you were so close to the end. It sucks the dev didn't ever respond, but basically you just had to turn around and walk the other way for a moment
it couldn't open for me in the browser i'll try to download it
I think that was a issue the creator mentioned maybe try downloading the browser again if not try downloading it but be careful if any virus occurs
thank you♡ I have download it it's a cool game
Awesome demo, two things:
Offer to skip the “tutorial” at the beginning, it’s very intuitive and you don’t need to explain it.
Why can’t this be done with a first person walking instead of clicking?
ok 1. i'm pretty sure this is not a demo
2. the tutorial only takes a minute (15 seconds if you're skipping through it) and it doesn't just explain the controls, that's one page, it explains the concept of the game
3.you might've not played the whole game but it turns into first person walking after the creepy stuff begins
Since I deleted the original video I made on this game I decided to pay this game a revisit. Tbh it is still a pretty cool game.

I got jumpscared by a png without it even being a jumpscare in the traditional sense, how did they manage to make that work
Absolutely loved this game! It was a really interesting setup and the scares followed through, even one at the very end (watch the credits!) that honestly made me paranoid.
You gave us some GOOD scares with this. Thanks for making me deeply uncomfortable. :)
Really cool unique game.
Check out my video.

Hey, I'm looking for a new horror game to play, but I don't do well with jumpscares- does this have any?
this isnt a game. this is just a engine that allows you to see inside of virtual houses
dude seriously? i know it’s a game, you don’t need to be in character or whatnot. stop. you’re on itch.io. you’re not fooling anyone. does it have jumpscares, or are you just going to be annoying about this?
damn hoe take a joke
