Ok I don't understand this fully, but I didn't think this was a horror game until I saw the blood on the saw in the garage, and the body in the closet of the laundry room upstairs, when I saw it I jumped xD
So if i'm getting this right, someone killed an entire family with a saw, the guy who was selling it knew, AND TRIED TO SELL ME IT AT FULL PRICE!?!?!? That's cold.

This game totally freaked me out... I was walking around the house normally, then I saw blood in the master bedroom. I thought... Can't be that bad, I'll be fine. I kept going. I went into the laundry room and saw the dead guy in the closet! Took me by surprise, well done corpsepile, you got me.
This game scared me like none other. Didn't help that the address is eerily similar to my previous home. I actually had to stop after getting to a certain point.
For everyone else, don't let the nice ambiance fool you.

Edit: Hadn't gotten to the one part in the game yet, thought it was mediocre. Christ was I wrong. This is really, really fantastic horror.
